Abdul Dayem: honoring the motive to continue exerting more efforts

In recognition of her efforts, Bibliotheca Alexandrina honored Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, with a group of creative stars and talented young people as part of the 17th Edition of Summer International Festival.

Abdel-Dayem expressed her happiness with the honor of Bibliotheca Alexandrina and described it as one of the cultural monuments in Egypt and in the world, considering it an important center for enlightenment movement. She said that honoring creators in general is a motive to continue exerting more efforts.

For his part, Dr. Mustafa El-Feki, Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina, said that arts and culture expressed the identity of the Egyptian society through long time, giving birth for our distinguished national figures in various fields. He stressed on to the continuing role of Bibliotheca Alexandrina to raise awareness. He also appreciated those who helped in pushing the movement of culture and arts in Egypt.

The musician, Rajih Daoud, added that the honor gathers two different generations which have presented arts and literature in a valuable way , pointing out that this honor highlights their enlightening role and encouraging the promising talented people.

The honored figure of arts and culture included : the composer Dr. Hassan Sharara, the artist Khaled Jalal, the director Issam El Sayed, the playwright Mohamed Abou Doma, the director Hala Khalil, opera singer Nevine Allouba, musician Dr. Osman El Mahdy, musician Dr. Mohamed Hosny, playwriter Amar Mustafa and artist Nermin Badr.
