Abdel Aal: Belarus eyes more cooperation with Egypt on all levels

Egypt is bound by distinguished ties with Belarus at the political, economic and military levels, Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal said on Wednesday.

The speaker made his remarks during a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at the parliamentary premises in Cairo.

Abdel Aal congratulated Lukashenko on the successful parliamentary elections held in Belarus in November, emphasizing the need to bolster bilateral cooperation at all levels.

The speaker called upon the business community in Belarus to capitalize on the development breakthrough and economic growth Egypt is witnessing to serve the interests of both countries.

He called for increasing Belarusian investments in Egypt, especially in mega national projects nationwide, taking advantage of Egypt’s business-friendly investment law.

Abdel Aal also welcomed a recent increase in the number of Belarusian tourists visiting Egypt, noting that he looks forward to more visitors and charter flights from the Eastern European nation.

Abdel Aal further commended distinguished parliamentary ties between Egypt and Belarus.

Meanwhile, Lukashenko asserted his country’s commitment to promote mutual cooperation in all domains, especially in light of the promising sign of economic growth in Egypt.
