2 Agreements On Oil, Gas Exploration in Western Desert Inked

Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail inked on Wednesday 1092014 two petroleum agreements on prospecting for oil and gas in the Western desert in the two regions of Gharb al-Kanais and Siwa.

The two agreements’ total investments hit about $44 million, including digging new 11 wells.

The two agreements were inked by the Petroleum Minister and Apache Corporation Head Tom Maher and Tharwa Petroleum Company head Raaft al-Beltagy. Egyptian General Petroleum Co. Chairman Tarek al-Mola attended the event.
