‘The Great Li’p Forward’

Li is in Kenya:I hope he has funHobbing with nobsAnd enjoying the sun.

He’ll build us our railway,Our roads and our bridges,And we’ll buy their vehicles,Mobile phones, fridges.

Our fish, tea and coffeeWill ship to BeijingWhile we buy their clothingAnd plasticky things.

This isn’t “colonialist’There aren’t “strings attached”.They just want to help usThere’s no hidden catch.

The loans they will grant usAre reasonable ones:They’ll all be repaidBy our daughters and sons.
