Sisi Stresses Egypt, Saudi g Relations

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Sunday 315 2015 with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir in the presence of Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Saudi Ambassador in Cairo Ahmed Qattan.

Presidential Spokesman Alaa Yousef said that Jubeir conveyed the greetings of Saudi King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz to President Sisi, calling for further enhancing bilateral cooperation.

He has also underlined the need for coordination with Saudi Arabia to resolve various challenges in the region, mainly fighting terrorism.

The Saudi Minister stressed the strategic importance of Egypt, praising the Egyptian stances in defense of the Arab causes.

The spokesman added that President Sisi commended stances adopted by Saudi Arabia in support of Egypt and its people.

The security of the Gulf region is an integral part of the Egyptian national security, President Sisi said, reiterating the necessity to support inter-Arab solidarity and confront any attempt to intervene in the Arab internal affairs.

The meeting tackled the latest developments in the region, mainly in Syria, Yemen and Libya, stressing the importance of reaching political solutions for the crises in these countries to stop the bloodshed and maintain their territorial integrity.

President Sisi noted that the Arab joint force is important to achieve these goals.

“This force is not directed to any party, but has a clear message that reflects the ability of Arabs to be united and defend their interests in the face of challenges,” Sisi said.
