Sisi Receives Phone Call From South Africa President

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Tuesday 2272014 received a phone call from South Africa President Jacob Zuma during which they stressed the necessity of coordination and consultation to achieve the best interests of Africa.

President Sisi asserted during the call that Egypt is keen on boosting relations with South Africa and addressing the challenges facing Africa and the Middle East, Presidential Spokesman Ihab Badawi said.

The President also tackled Egypt’s efforts and contacts with regional and international parties to reach a ceasefire in the Palestinian territories.

He reviewed Egypt’s initiative for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

For his part, Zuma welcomed the Egyptian initiative to end violence in the coastal enclave, praising the Egyptian efforts to reach a solution for the ongoing crisis.

Sisi invited Zuma to visit Egypt, a move which was welcomed by the South Africa President.

Sisi asserted that Egypt plans to launch a new phase with Africa and looks forward to boosting cooperation with the continent.
