Sisi Meets PM, Petroleum, Electricity Ministers

President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi held a meeting with Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail and Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker on Saturday 15112014.

Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said that the meeting touched on the electricity ministry’s preparations for next summer.

Shaker said preparations include improving power plants and carrying out the required maintenance.

The petroleum minister, for his part, reviewed his ministry’s vision to meet the needs of all sectors at affordable prices in a way that contributes to achieving the desired development rates.

The spokesman said that the president ordered a comprehensive policy to meet the domestic demand and bridge the current gap between production and consumption.

Sisi also underscored the importance of developing the infrastructure for the production and transport of petroleum products, and the development of the petrochemical industry.
