Sisi Confers With Italian President

President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi held a session of talks on Monday 24112014 with his Italian counterpart Giorgio Napolitano at the Quirinale Presidential Palace.

After his arrival at Ciampino Airport, Sisi headed for the Italian Presidential Palace where he was given a red-carpet reception.

Talks were held in a closed-door session that was followed by an expanded session of talks attended by delegations from both sides.

Sisi is accompanied by a high-profile delegation grouping the ministers of foreign affairs, trade and industry, investment, supply and internal trade.

The Egyptian-Italian talks cover means of bolstering bilateral relations, especially in the economic, investment, transport, energy, industry and tourism fields.

Talks also cover means of coordinating stances vis-a-vis regional and international issues of common interest, the Middle East peace process, the situation in Libya and Syria and terror combat.
