Security Plan to Face All Possibilities During Voting – PEC

In a statement to Al-Ahram newspaper, Counselor Tarek Shebl, member of the general secretariat of the Presidential Elections Committee (PEC), said that the committee is calling on Egyptians to take part in the presidential elections slated for 26 and 27 May.

He noted that the PEC has coordinated with the army and police to secure the voting process.

“The PEC held several meetings with army and police leaders to put a security plan to face all possibilities,” he said.

He went on to say that the judges supervising the voting process have been distributed on polling stations nationwide.

On Monday, the PEC announced that the number of Egyptians living abroad who cast their votes in the ongoing elections have reached 315, 000 voters.

The voting process inside Egypt will be supervised by nearly 15, 397 judges.
