President Sisi Receives Invitation to Visit China Next Month

President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met on Saturday 22112014 at the presidential headquarters with Meng Jianzhu, the special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping and secretary of Central Politics and Law Commission of the Communist Party of China.

The Chinese envoy conveyed greetings of President Xi to president Sisi and extended an official invitation to president Sisi to visit China next month, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Yousef.

He stressed the importance his country attaches to this visit as well as keenness of President Xi to issue directives to all bodies concerned to render it a success.

He noted that relations between the two countries will be upgraded to the level of “comprehensive strategic partnership” to be in concert with the level of relations binding the two countries. He also lauded all measures taken by president Sisi to boost development at the economic and social levels.

“China cherishes its relations with Egypt as a strategic partner and is keen on enhancing its relations with Egypt in all fields, said Jianzhu.

He added that his country encourages Chinese companies to invest in Egypt and take part in giant development projects.

For his part, president Sisi asked Meng Jianzhu to convey his best wishes to president Xi, stressing the depth of relations between the two countries, said the presidential spokesman.

Sisi noted that his coming visit to China reflects the appreciation and respect of the Egyptian leadership and people to China, stressing China’s goodwill towards Egypt.

He expressed the Egyptian people’s admiration of the Chinese experience and China’s great achievements.

At the economic level, Sisi said that Egypt is looking forward to more Chinese investments in Egypt especially in light of the projects currently being implemented by the Egyptian government topped by the New Suez Canal.

Minister of Interior Mohammad Ibrahim, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukri and the Chinese ambassador in Cairo attended the meeting.
