PM – Gov’t Ready to Hold, Secure Presidential Elections

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said on Wednesday 1452014 that the government has taken all administrative and logistic measures to hold the presidential elections slated for May 26-27.

Mahlab made the remarks while setting to TV interview, which was aired Wednesday at al-Hayat satellite channel.

The Army and police will secure the democratic process, he said, underlining concrete improvement on the security level.

Mahlab vowed commitment to neutrality during the voting to give a clear message to the world on the people’s free will.

Asked about monitoring the polling stations, he stressed openness to receive representatives from international organization to follow up the process.
