PEC – Turnout Higher Than 2012 Presidential Elections

The Presidential Elections Committee (PEC) announced that the number of Egyptians living abroad who cast their ballots in the ongoing elections have reached 315,000 voters.

This number has exceeded the total number of those who voted in the 2012 presidential elections which was 314,329 voters, the PEC said in a press release on Monday 1952014.

The statement also hailed Foreign Ministry for its efforts and Egyptian expatriates for their participation in the elections.

The presidential elections will be held in Egypt on May 26 and 27.
