PEC Sends List to Armed Forces With Names of Judges to Be Carried By Planes

Counselor Tarek Shebl, member of the general secretariat of the Presidential Elections Committee (PEC), said that the committee has sent a list to the armed forces with the names of judges who will be carried by military aircrafts to supervise the balloting stations in remote areas.

“All logistic issues pertaining to the voting process are about to end,” he said.

He noted that the number of judges supervising the presidential polls has reached to 15, 397 ones, adding that the PEC has distributed around 2, 000 electronic ID readers to the polling stations to facilitate the voting process.

The counselor further noted that the PEC has excluded the names of the Egyptian expatriates who voted in the polls from the voter database, in order to avoid double voting.

The Egyptian presidential elections will be held for nationals in Egypt on May 26 and 27.

Ex-defense minister Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi and leftist politician Hamdeen Sabahi are the only competitors in the polls.
