PEC – Every Expatriate Has Right to Vote in Elections

Secretary General of the Presidential Elections Committee (PEC) Counselor Abdel Aziz Salman said on Wednesday 1452014 that any Egyptian expatriate has the right to vote in the presidential elections since they are listed on the voter database and hold an ID or passport.

At a press conference held at State Information Service (SIS), he asserted that the committee has opened the door widely for every Egyptian that would be staying in any country to cast his ballot without any restrictions.

Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Ambassador Hamdi Sanad Louza said that this press briefing is being held at a time when all arrangements are underway ahead of the presidential elections.

He added that Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad have been briefed of all rules and regulations of the elections.

For his part, Assistant Foreign Minster for Consular Affairs and Egyptian Expatriates Ambassador Ali al-Asheri said that all diplomatic missions abroad have made all possible efforts to facilitate the voting process for the Egyptian expatriates.
