Mahlab Receives General Electric Chairman, Officials

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab received on Monday 1472014 the chairman of General Electric Middle East and a number of officials at the company’s Cairo office for talks on the Egyptian economy and investments.

The company chairman and leaders praised the latest economic decisions taken in Egypt, asserting that they will encourage more investments into the country.

The company is keen on increasing investments in Egypt, the chairman said, asserting that the company never left the Egyptian market throughout the past three difficult years.

He also expressed the company’s wish to join giant projects to be carried out in Egypt such as the Suez Canal area development and infrastructure projects in the gas and water fields and the mobile power plants similar to those carried out by the company in Libya, Algeria and Iraq.

Mahlab expounded the economic situation in Egypt and the latest economic measures taken by the government with the aim of confronting challenges facing the economy.

He pointed out to Egypt’s efforts to combat terrorism and restore security and stability.
