KSA Suggests Future Plan for Improving Efficiency of Electric Power

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has introduced to Egypt its 2013-2015 plan of improving efficiency of electric power, Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker said.

The plan discussed sharing standard and legislative measures of power competency, following up providers during carrying out their projects aimed at improving energy efficiency, sharing information about cutting edge saving power technologies, along with tapping the field of renewable sources.

This came during a workshop held in Cairo in light of fruitful cooperation between the two countries.

On the other hand, Minister Shaker asserted that the electricity prices for all usages had not been pushed up, especially in the industrial sector, asking this sector to use up-to-date technology in rationalization of consumption, stressing the necessity of establishing solar stations for meeting its needs of electricity as soon as possible.
