HEC Uses Laptops to Check Voter Data Ahead of Polls

The High Elections Committee (HEC) said on Sunday 16112014 that laptops supplied with voter data were distributed at data review committees at First Instance Courts across the nation to enable voters to check their data and update them in an easy way.

The step was taken ahead of the coming parliamentary polls, said Spokesman for the Committee Counselor Medhat Idris.

He urged the citizens to check their data in the Voter Database to make sure they are registered correctly ahead of the polls, especially their residence.

Voters can check their data either through going to any nearby court of first instance or via the committee’s website www.elections.eg, or they can send SMS through mobile phones to 5151.
