FM Leaves for Algeria to Partake in NAM Conf.

Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy left Cairo on Tuesday 2752014 for Algeria to head Egypt’s delegation to the 17th Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).

The conference will kick off on Tuesday 2752014 and will run till Thursday 2952014.

Fahmy will deliver Egypt’s speech before the conference, said spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Aati.

During the speech, Fahmy will tackle the latest developments in Egypt, and the role played by the country in the region, Abdel Aati asserted.

Fahmy will also review the danger of terrorism as a global phenomenon along with the Syrian crisis and the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians, he noted.

Abdel Aati added that the conference will issue a statement on the Palestinian cause, in which the NAM countries are expected to show full support for the struggle of the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli occupation.

Fahmy is set to hold a series of meetings with a number of participating foreign ministers to discuss a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
