EU Mission Says It Will Not Interfere in Elections

Deputy Head of the European Union (EU) mission for following up presidential elections said that Mario David, the Head of the mission will return to Egypt after the presidential elections to submit a report to the Egyptian authorities on the mission activity. He added that David will submit a report on the final recommendations after two months.

The Deputy Head of the mission said a delegation from the EU parliament will join the mission together with 51 delegates from the EU member-states’ embassies in Cairo.

He said the mission will have 150 members who will not interfere in elections, adding that they will extend aice and assistance to officials in charge of the elections.
