Egyptian-Scottish Cooperation in Renewable Energy

Dr. Abdel-Hady Fawzy, Chief Executive Officer of the Scottish Development International Institution said that Egypt is a strategic partner for Britain in the Middle East and North Africa. He stressed the existence of great opportunities of cooperation between Egypt and Scotland not only in the Egyptian market. But also in the African markets.

Fawzy pointed out that the coming period will witness great cooperation between Egypt and Scotland in the fields of petroleum and renewable energy, where Scotland enjoys a vast experience in these fields.

Dr. Fawzy, who presides over an economic delegation from the Scottish development international institution currently paying a visit to Egypt, said that an agreement has been signed with Egypt-based organization of African oil producing countries to increase skills of workers in the fields of petroleum and energy.

The delegation includes representatives from eight Scottish companies, most of them from the energy sector.

The visit aims to let the visiting delegation explore the various trade opportunities in Egypt and cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy, petroleum and gas.
