Egyptian Embassies Abroad Welcome Voters in Second Day of Presidential Elections

The Egyptian embassies abroad opened their doors for Egyptian voters in the second day of presidential elections which kicked-off on Thursday 15052014. The voting process for Egyptians overseas will continue until Sunday.

As many as 141 Egyptian embassies and consulates worldwide would receive expatriates to cast their ballots in 124 states, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel-Atti has said.

On first day of the poll, the Egyptian embassy in Khartoum witnessed high turnout by expats to elect a new president, Egypt’s Ambassador in Khartoum Osama Shaltot said. He added the electoral process is going on very smoothly.

Also, Egypt’s embassy in Paris opened the polling station to allow France-based Egyptians to cast ballots on the second day of expatriate voting in the presidential election.

On first day of the poll, the Egyptian embassy in Paris witnessed high turnout to elect a new president. The turnout is expected to be higher on Saturday and Sunday as the weekend in France.
