Egypt Stresses Need to Ensure Palestinian Rights

Egypt confirmed the need to continue working at all levels to ensure the rights of the Palestinian people and establishing their state on the occupied territories in 1967, with Al-Quds as its capital.

In Egypt’s speech during the meeting of Committee on Palestine of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on the sidelines of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, Deputy Foreign Minister Hisham Badr said the Palestinian leadership is most in need of the NAM’s support to achieve the Palestinian rights.

Badr pointed to Israeli violations, settlement and aggression on the Gaza Strip, presenting an overview of the Egyptian efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and provide relief aid to the Palestinians there.
