Egypt Keen On Coordinating Efforts With Africa to Fight Terrorism – FM

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has underlined on Friday 1262015 his country’s keenness on coordinating efforts with African countries to combat terrorism and exchange expertise in this regard.

Shoukry said that fighting extremism can be achieved through coordination among African countries.

The minister’s remarks came during an interview with One South African News Channel on the sidelines of his participation in preparatory meetings for the African Summit in Johannesburg.

The anchor underlined the importance of the vital role played by Egypt in fighting extremism, calling for unified African efforts especially that many African countries are suffering from the spread of extremist organizations, such as the Somali Shabab and Nigerian Boko Haram groups.

Meanwhile, Shoukry urged the South African society to trust the integrity of the Egyptian judiciary.

The interview focused on conditions in Egypt and the positive economic developments.
