Egypt Bourse Gains Hit Le1.8 Billion

The Egyptian Exchange indexes recouped earlier loss at the end of trading on Monday amid share purchases by local, Arab and foreign institutions.

The capital market gained LE1.6 billion on Monday to hit LE493.7 billion after transaction exceeded LE3.6 billion.

The benchmark index EGX 30 jumped up 0.59 per cent to 8,582.75 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) soared 0.77 per cent, reaching 622.44 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also up 0.58 per cent to hit 1,085.7 points.
