EGX Wins Egp 3.4 Billion, Main Index Up By 1.17 Percent

The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) indexes continued an upward trend backed by share purchases by local, Arab and foreign institutions.

The capital market gained EGP 3.4 billion on Thursday to hit EGP 497.8 billion after transactions exceeded EGP 1.5 billion.

The benchmark index EGX 30 jumped up by 1.17% to 8,727.54 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) soared 0.4%, reaching 623.66 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also up 0.54% to hit 1,089.72 points.
