EGX Gains EGP 2.4 Billion

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices rebounded at the end of Tuesday’s trading, backed by intensive purchases from Arab and foreign investment funds and institutions.

The market capital gained 2.4 billion pounds to reach 491.2 billion pounds, amid transactions which hit about 433.6 million pounds.

The EGX 30 benchmark index went up by 1.08 per cent to 8,563.06 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) increased by 0.54 per cent to hit 616.24 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index rose as well by 0.61 per cent to close at 1,088.75 points.
