Efforts Underway to Resume Egyptian-Bahraini Panel Meetings

Efforts are underway to resume the meetings of the Bahraini-Egyptian Joint Committee before the end of 2014, said Egypt’s Charge d’Affaires to Bahrain Osama Hamdy.

Hamdy asserted the importance of resuming the work of the committee in the light of political and economic developments in Egypt.

He added that the committee will discuss activating bilateral cooperation agreements, trade exchange and investment deals that were halted since 2010.

He pointed out that signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority and the Central Bank of Bahrain gave a boost to bilateral economic relations.
