Bourse Gains EGP 2 Billion, Main Index Up 0.52 Pct

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices rebounded at the end of today’s trading, backed by intensive purchases from Arab and foreign investment funds and institutions.

The market capital gained 2 billion pounds to reach 494.22 billion pounds, amid transactions which hit about 731 million pounds.

The EGX 30 benchmark index went up by 0.52 percent to 8,637.84 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) increased by 0.34 percent to hit 615.16 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index rose as well by 0.32 percent to close at 1,089.57 points.
