Bad Weather Halts Diving in Egypt’s Red Sea

Egypt’s Red Sea ports authority closed the Safaga sea port on Sunday morning due to high winds and the lack of visibility to 1500 meters because dust storms, reported the state news agency MENA.

The Hurgada port will also be closed because of the dust storm that is coming from the Red Sea to Suez, MENA quoted Hassan Falah, head of the ports authority, as saying.

Falah said that there are strict instructions to stop all acts of diving and yachting in the touristic area of Gouna in Hurgada to preserve lives and public property.
