Assistant Foreign Minister Meets Canadian MP

Egypt’s Assistant Foreign Minister for Americas Affairs Ambassador Mohamed Farid Munib received on Wednesday 1452014 member of the Canadian parliament Marc Garneau.

Munib briefed Garneau on the real situation in Egypt following the June 30 Revolution as well as Egypt’s preparations for the May 26-27 presidential elections.

They also discussed ways to develop relations between the two countries.

We appreciate Canada’s support for the Egyptian road map, Munib said.

Meanwhile, the Canadian MP said his visit comes as part of Egypt’s strategic role in the region, noting that the talks tackled ways to develop political and economic relations between the two states.
