Ashraf Syndicate, Sufis Reject Calls for Protests On Nov. 28

Al Ashraf Syndicate and Sufi Orders on Thursday refused all sorts of terrorism, denouncing the Salafi Front calls for protesting with copies of the Holy Quran on November 28.

These remarks came in a celebration organized by Al Ashraf Syndicate in the Upper Egyptian city of Sohag to support the state’s bodies it their fight against terrorism and extremism.

Participants, including Sohag Governor Mahmoud Ateek, called on Egyptians to renounce violence and to stand as one to uproot terrorism.

The protests have been called for by the Salafi Front under the rubric “The Muslim Youth Uprising.”
