213 MN Cubic Meters of Water-Saturated Sand Removed From New Suez Canal

A total of 213,305,416 cubic meters of water-saturated sand have so far been lifted at the New Suez Canal project, head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish said.

The figure represents 82.68 per cent of the targeted 258 million cubic meters, he said.

Meanwhile, executive director of dredging works at the project Wagdi Zaki said that about 38 dredgers were deployed in the water way.
